You may have seen the term “responsive websites.” It means the same thing as mobile and tablet friendly but is an industry term or jargon.
In plain English, it means that the website designed to work on your PC desktop will look basically the same on your iPad or tablet or your Android or iPhone.
According to PEW research (as of January 2014), 90% of American adults own a cell phone and 42% own a tablet. As of May 2013, 63% of adult cell phone users use their phone to go online. One third of these cell internet users (34%) mostly use their phone to access the internet!
If your website doesn’t perform well or show up on mobile or tablets, then you are losing business and leaving money on the table. Stop reading this right now if you currently have a website. Check your current site out on a desktop, mobile phone and tablet. Then come back.
Well? Are you pleased with your site’s performance? We guess you aren’t or you wouldn’t be back here!
Three Vistas designs sites that work on all platforms. Our expertise allows your site to be seen in the same manner across whatever platform your customer (or potential customer) chooses to use. If you are showing up in searches but a potential customer can view your site and navigate it with ease on whatever device they choose, you will be skipped and a competitor that has a website that is optimized to be mobile friendly will swoop in and scoop up that business.
This one is a no-brainer. Mobile use is only going to keep growing. Make sure you are presenting the best version of your site to those users.
